  1. Data Protection

Thank you for visiting our websites and for your interest in our services. Protecting your personal data is a top priority for us. This Data Protection Declaration explains how we collect, process, and use your personal data, the purposes and legal basis for such use, and your rights concerning its processing.

Directive on Data Protection

This Data Protection Declaration does not apply to your activities on social media platforms or websites of third-party providers that you may access via links on our websites. Information on the data protection policies of these providers can be found on their respective websites.

  1. Collection and Processing of Your Personal Data
  • When you visit our websites, we store certain details about your browser and operating system, the date and time of your visit, access status (e.g., whether you successfully opened a page or received an error message), the use of website features, any search terms entered, how frequently specific pages are accessed, the names of displayed files, the volume of data transferred, the website from which you were redirected, and the website you navigate to afterward (e.g., via clicked links or direct domain entry). Additionally, for security reasons, particularly to prevent and identify attacks on our systems or attempted fraud, we store your IP address and your internet service provider’s name for seven days.
  • We store additional personal data only if you provide it to us, for example, during registration, via contact forms, chat, surveys, prize competitions, or to fulfill contracts. Even in such cases, data is stored only if permitted based on your consent or applicable legal provisions (see Section 7).
  • You are not legally or contractually obliged to provide your personal data. However, some features of our websites may not be available to you unless you provide such data.
  1. Purpose of Use
  • We use personal data collected during your visit to our websites to make them as convenient as possible for you, improve our products and services, and protect our IT systems from attacks or other unlawful activities.
  • If you provide additional personal data (e.g., during registration or contact), we use it only to the necessary extent for the stated purposes, such as customer service or executing transactions, including internal accounting processes.
  • With your consent, we, or selected third parties, may use your data for other purposes, such as personalized content or advertising, as managed through our Consent Management System.
  • We may also process your data if required by legal obligations, such as compliance with trade or tax law requirements or official or judicial orders.
  1. Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties
  • Our websites may contain offers from third parties. If you click on such offers, we transfer relevant data to the respective provider (e.g., that you accessed the offer through our website).
  • If we use social media plugins (e.g., Facebook or Twitter), they remain deactivated by default. No data is transferred to the respective networks unless you activate the plugin. Activating such a plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the network. You can avoid this by logging out of the social network before activating the plugin.
  • By clicking on a link or activating a social media plugin, your personal data may be transferred to providers in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) that do not meet EU data protection standards.
  • We engage qualified service providers (e.g., IT or marketing agencies) to operate and secure our websites. Personal data is transferred to these contractors only when required for their services, to protect legitimate interests, or based on your consent (see Section 7).
  1. Cookies
  • We may use cookies when you visit our websites. These include HTML cookies and similar tools (e.g., Web/DOM Storage or Flash cookies).
  • Cookies are small files stored on your device to recognize user preferences, provide functionalities, or analyze usage patterns.
  • The use of cookies depends on your browser settings and the preferences indicated in our Consent Management System.
  • You can modify your browser settings to disable cookies or delete existing ones. However, doing so may limit website functionality.
  1. Security

We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect your data from manipulation, loss, destruction, or unauthorized access. Our security measures are continuously updated in line with technological advancements.

  1. Legal Basis for Data Processing
  • If you have provided consent, this serves as the legal basis for processing your data under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
  • Data processing necessary for contract preparation or execution is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Processing required to comply with legal obligations falls under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • Processing based on legitimate interests is governed by Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Examples include maintaining IT systems, internal accounting, and improving services.
  1. Deletion of Personal Data

We delete your personal data when the purposes for which they were collected no longer apply, unless legal retention requirements necessitate longer storage.

  1. Your Rights as a Data Subject
  • You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data, restrict its processing, and data portability under Articles 15–20 GDPR.
  • You may withdraw your consent at any time, which will not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • You have the right to object to data processing based on public or legitimate interests (Article 21 GDPR).
  • For inquiries or to exercise your rights, contact us at: office@phq.bg.
  • If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR).
